Caliper Certification

Caliper offers clients different levels of Certification based on your specific business goals, level of expertise, and use of the Caliper Profile.  The core certification program is called, “Foundations” and is designed to provide clients with a detailed understanding of the Caliper Profile, using the Caliper Advisor report as a primary tool, and offering 13 hours of HRCI credits*. The curriculum includes content on psychometrics, compliance, interview questions, and interpretation of the Caliper Profile behaviors and traits. 

The “Master” level of certification, available to clients who have successfully completed the requirements of the Foundations program, is designed for developing a deeper connection between the Caliper Profile and its application in selected talent management strategies. Those individuals completing the Master’s Level program will receive an additional 6.5 hours of HRCI credits toward their re-certification requirements.

Caliper is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. This programs Foundation Class is valid for 13 PDCs for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM and this programs Master Class is valid for 6.5 PDCs for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

Programs are offered in two settings: Regional events that bring together representatives from numerous Caliper clients, learning from each other in a collaborative environment. It’s also available to be delivered on your site, in a client-specific format where activities and case studies can be contextualized to your specific needs.

Both regional events and client-specific programs include a series of interactive webinars, Caliper Clips, an on-site 2-day (Foundations) or 3-day (Master-level) workshop, and consulting time with a Caliper Coach.

Who is Certification For?

Caliper Foundations is appropriate for individuals in our client organizations who have expressed an interest in increasing their knowledge about, and more strategic utilization of, the Caliper Profile. 

Caliper Master Level is appropriate for clients who have successfully completed the Foundations program and want to utilize specific Caliper tools and programs in preparation for a series of strategic applications within their company, talent management topics and best practices. The Master Level training also offers interactive opportunities to practice the connection between the Caliper Profile and each topical area.

Caliper Practitioner Program is appropriate for partners who use our assessments in support of the services they offer to their clients, such as executive coaching, training and development, and human resource consulting.

*The use of the HRCI seal is not an endorsement by the HR Certification Institute of the quality of the activity.  It means that this activity has met the HR Certification Institute’s criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit.

Caliper Foundations Level Certification

Caliper Foundations Level Certification is appropriate for those who look to increase their knowledge of the Caliper Profile.  Those completing the program will receive 13 Certification Credit Hours through HRCI. The Foundations program is designed to provide you with a detailed understanding of the Caliper Profile, including content on:

    • Psychometrics
    • Compliance
    • Understanding the Work Environment
    • Interview Questions
    • Interpretation of Caliper Profile Behaviors and Traits

Caliper Master Level Certification

Caliper Master Level Certification is appropriate for Caliper clients who want to develop a deeper connection between the Caliper Profile and talent management strategies within their company.  The Master Level Certification is designed to provide a detailed understanding of the Caliper Profile, including successful completion of the Foundations Certification program and content on:

    • Specific Caliper tools and applications in  a variety  of strategic applications
    • Caliper’s approach and best practices in areas including professional coaching and team effectiveness
    • You may qualify for continuing education credits based on educational time as outlined in program agenda

The Master Level Certification offers an intensive, interactive learning experience to practice the application of the Caliper Profile and each topical area. Those completing the Master Level program will receive 6.5 credits toward their recertification requirements.  Clients who attend Foundations + Master programs will receive a total of 19.5 credits toward their recertification requirements.

Caliper Master Certification – Competency-Based Interpretation

Caliper Master Certification – Competency-Based Interpretation is a class specifically geared toward those who have already completed the Foundations Level class, and are looking for a deeper understanding of the Caliper Competency Library. Class focuses are as follows:

·         Develop an understanding of Caliper’s Competency Library, including the competencies, representative behaviors, and Caliper Profile traits.

·         Become familiar with Caliper’s competency-based Job Models, including learning a process for determining the best fitting Job Model for a given role.

Learners who attend this workshop will also receive the Caliper Competency Behavior Guide, a tool that is unique to competency-based Certification programs. This class will also be eligible for 6.5 SHRM and HRCI credits.

Certified Practitioner Program

Caliper Certified Practitioners are trained to use our assessments in support of the services they offer to their clients, such as executive coaching, training and development, and human resource consulting.

By offering Caliper’s assessments to your clients, you will provide them with tremendous insight into their organization, their employees, and themselves. You will be able to generate income reselling our assessments as well as offer value- added services that help your clients improve organizational performance.

Caliper’s Certified Practitioner Program includes:
• Certification and Continuing Education
– Three-Day Certification workshop covering interpretation of Caliper reports and best practices for application of Caliper data into your coaching and consulting practice
– Optional continuing education events offered in person and/or virtually
• Dedicated Support
– A seasoned Caliper OD Consultant will serve as your Caliper Coach, answering questions about products, services, and positioning
• Discounted Pricing
– Premier Caliper products and services will allow you to increase the value you bring to your clients, while building an income stream for yourself
• Contracted Project Assignments
– You will be added to an exclusive, limited list of Certified Practitioners, eligible for assignment to projects in your area of expertise with Caliper Clients

    • Caliper Master Certification is appropriate for clients who want to utilize specific Caliper tools and programs in within more strategic talent management initiatives.  The Master level program offers an intensive,  interactive learning experience to explore Caliper’s approach and best practices in a variety of applications, which may include professional coaching and team effectiveness. .

And also on your site, when you have a number of employees to be certified with content that is customized for your specific organization’s business needs.

What is application process for Caliper Master Certification?

    • All applications will be reviewed prior to approval and require completion of the Foundations program.
    • Participants may complete the additional Master Certification workshop within a year of completing their Foundation Certification program.

Why will clients be interested in Caliper Foundations Certification?

    • Clients who enter this program will learn how to interpret a Caliper Profile in a more strategic manner, will be provided with tools to interpret a the Caliper Profile, understand any job in a more meaningful way,  develop a stronger understanding of the behaviors predicted by the Caliper Profile.
    • Upon completion of the Caliper Foundations program, clients will be better equipped to serve as in-house experts within their organizations.  They will also have access to continuing education opportunities and will have the ability to add specialized certifications if interested.

What does Certification Cost?

    • The Foundations program is currently priced at $1,995 per person and includes all synchronous and asynchronous learning. The total program requires a 2.5 day time commitment
    • Master Certification is currently priced at $2,995 per person and requires a 3.5 day time commitment (includes Foundation program).

What are HRCI credits and how do I get them?

Individuals completing the Caliper Foundations program will receive 13 HRCI credits for continuing education purposes. The Foundations program has been approved for 13 (HR (General)) recertification credit hours toward California, GPHR, HRBP, HRMP, PHR and SPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.  Those completing the Master Level program will receive 6.5 credits toward their recertification requirements.  Clients who attend Foundations + Master programs will receive a total of 19.5 credits toward their recertification requirements. For more information about certification or recertification, please visit the HR Certification Institute website at www.hrci.org.

What are SHRM PDCs and how do I get them?

Caliper Certification Registration

All payments will be handled via Invoice. Upon form completion an invoice will be processed following your company’s typical invoice policy.

 

Certification Fee

The certification fee (variable by program selection) includes all material, lunches and snacks. Travel, lodging and transportation expenses are the responsibility of the participant.

Certification Cancellation Fee

If you cancel your registration, we will transfer your registration to a future certification program of your choice. Caliper does not offer any refunds of Certification Programs.
